NEW LOCATION - Ali is now working out of her new clinic, called Townsite Allied Health, located in Unit C - 6239 Walnut Street beside the Old Courthouse Inn. Ali is a BC-trained RMT having received her diploma in Registered Massage Therapy and certificate in Subtle Manual Therapies at Langara College in 2017.

She moved to qathet 4 years ago with her husband after dreaming about it for years with fond memories of sea kayaking and hiking trips in the area, visiting family in Okeover and hearing inspiring stories about the community.

Prior to moving to qathet, Ali worked at one of the top multi-disciplinary clinics in Whistler.

Ali enjoys working with a variety of clients who have a goal in mind. She has a keen interest in working with scar tissue to reduce its negative effect on functionality and associated pain, including post-surgical treatment. She frequently works with clients recovering from concussion and whiplash by helping to reduce neck pain and headaches. Ali has found many of her clients include massage in their mental health regimen.

Ali has completed further education in working with the viscera, fascia and joints of the female pelvis and the conditions, natural changes and surgeries that can affect it. She also completed additional training in working with clients who have had mastectomies, lumpectomies, breast augmentations or reductions, and top surgeries.

Ali’s choice of modalities depends on the client’s goals and presentation. She mostly uses myofascial release, Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, and joint mobilization. Depth of pressure is always led by the client, so everything from deep tissue to light relaxation is offered.

In her years prior to massage therapy Ali was a journalist and communications specialist for not-for-profits. With compassion and skilled inquiry she creates a light environment of discovery with her clients’ needs in mind.

Ali is a hiker, sea kayaker, skier, biker, coffee-with-a-book-and-wine-with-a-friend enthusiast and amateur birder.

She recently became the Mama of three incredible children! And, like that, a whole new adventure begins.
